Where is the Xiom 1000 System Used?

There is no definitive answer to this question. Look around where you're sitting right now - is the laminate wearing off your desk? What on your desk is already painted or has a plastic coating? What could use a plastic coating?

Think about your environment - what could use a coating to protect it from corrosion or rust. What could use a layer of anti-slip plastic coating? Are there dark unsafe spots in your backyard that could use a glow in the dark coating? Would you love to make a colored design in your patio bricks? How about applying a long-lasting multicolored logo to your driveway of your favorite baseball team? Why not?

What about industrial applications? Which company that has large equipment wouldn't benefit from having a powder coating applied to their equipment on-site with minimal downtime? Imagine the money that is being spent on safety to prevent lawsuits or compensation claims - a simple application of a non-slip coating in a strategic spot could prevent thousands of dollars of litigation or claims by preventing injury to employees.

The more appropriate question would be, "Where COULDN'T the Xiom 1000 be used?" And for that, we still have no real answer.

 

Sample cases

Issue: Cracking plastic sheaths on 11 miles of cable in a parkade facility.
Solution: By applying a thermoplastic coating that is durable, impact resistant, and flexible with the Xiom 1000 system, the coating will protect the cable and is expected to remain crack-free for a minimum of 10 years.
Issue: Slippery playground equipment results in a young girl breaking her neck from a fall.
Solution: An application of X530 antislip coating would help prevent further injuries on playground equipment by providing traction.
Issue: Company that builds 300 large polyurethane foam discs each day needs a black coating on each disc, but doesn't have the facilities to hang thousands of these discs to dry when painted.
Solution: By using the Xiom 1000 system, this company can coat and immediately bag and ship the foam discs, saving on warehouse and labor costs.
Issue: A metal fabrication shop builds handrails for clients and normally sends them to a local powder coating shop for coating. A specific client wants an unusual color applied to the handrails, and the powder coaters have to set these handrails aside until they have a small workload and can squeeze in the time to do the color that the client requires, usually taking weeks to months.
Solution: By using the Xiom 1000 system, the metal fab shop can coat these handrails immediately and install them without having to wait for the powder coaters, resulting in huge savings.
Issue: A company that builds large frames can't fit their 75' beams in any local powder coating booths. The options are to have the beams hauled 300 miles away, or to use paint which flakes off within a year.
Solution: The Xiom 1000 system is set up and applies the coatings to the beams in-house.
Issue: A construction company experiences rust problems in the field where their pipeline is welded together and the protective coating is replaced by a plastic sheath.
Solution: Applying a thin coat of XT700-03-12 epoxy with the Xiom 1000 system immediately after welding prevents moisture from reaching the joined area.
Issue: Campground maintenance contractors have to replant flower beds due to campers stepping on the plants and destroying them in the middle of the night.
